Eyes Closed Ending: How to Get It in Say Cheese!

The Eyes Closed ending uses the same hate chain as Hat. Reach Everyone hates everyone, then refuse to photograph the hat man and let the panic burn out.

What triggers the Eyes Closed ending

Eyes Closed triggers when the park reaches total hate and then receives no new story. You run the same escalation as Hat, but when the hat man appears you do not photograph him and you do not chase the hat theme.

Without a fresh subject, the panic consumes itself. The ending card frames the result as the park running out of things to fear.

What to photograph

After the hate chain, photograph the crowd or the aftermath, but never the hat man and never a hat. The route needs the park to stay with its own panic until there is nothing left to report.

Step-by-step route

  1. Run the Viral hate chain until the TV reaches Everyone hates everyone.
  2. When the hat man appears, do not photograph him. Do not film hats or start a new topic.
  3. Keep photographing the crowd and the aftermath of the hate, letting the panic burn without a new story.
  4. Wait for the broadcast to run out of material and the Eyes Closed ending card to appear.

Common mistakes

The one photo that ruins the route is the hat man. If you photograph him, the run becomes Hat. If you photograph a hat by accident, you may also start the hat storyline.

Switching to a completely different subject, such as a cricket or a smile, can also end the run early in another ending. Stay with the hate crowd until the card appears.

How to confirm the ending

The card reads Eyes Closed Ending, ending 10 of 12, with the tagline "you stopped watching and the panic had nowhere left to go". The camera-frame imagery and the exhausted crowd are the visual cues.

Headlines to watch for

These are the on-screen captions that tell you the route is on track. If the TV stops using them, the run has moved to another story.

  • Everyone hates everyone
  • Ignore the hat man
  • No new story
